hi friends! i'm back in melbourne if you havent already known. Since thursday, the 20th of july.
hmm, so life has been treating me alright so far. Or should i say melbourne has been treating me alright so far. Did quite a bit shopping. i know, kill me. It's just that it really feels like i'm on holiday. Seriously. Hey! but the stuff i got was mostly on sale, so cheap stuff man.
Anyway, put the shopping aside. There was school enrolment, selected some wrong subjects and hence cant finalised my timetable, with the fact the present one isnt looking too good at the moment is not a good sign. But it should be alright after i got for the introductory lectures and decide which subjects i want to do for this semester. And hopefully then, the timetable will work out well. You see, a good timetable is the first key to a successful education, adequate play and enough rest. Which also means a pleasant stay here in melbourne. So a good timetable is very important.
Next, there was the tons of unpacking to do. Oh my my! So many boxes. Too many in fact. So many clothes that are ready to be discarded. Messy and takes up space in the house. And erhem, our place is pretty tiny, so every little corner counts. But i've more or less sorted that out so not to worry.
And yes. My infamous messy room. At the moment, it's pretty, yes, you guessed it right, messy. I'm telling you, milene and tidy room just doesnt go. It's like oil and water. They can never mix. Blame it on my incapable packing and organisation skills i guess. Bad bad, definitely got to do something about that.
Food wise, been pigging out. As in really pigging out. My sister has some friends over, so its major tourist-like-eating. Which mean eating relatively unhealthy food. We had 'ma la fish' for lunch, korean food at night, which included kimchi tofu soup, "steamboat" and bbq meat. The chili and and barbeque is bad enough, and here comes the MEAT. Seriously, i woke up today with a bad sore throat. And i had ice cream this afternoon too. Bad...
Weather. Been pretty cold. Still bearable though. But I seem to be constantly stumped infront of my cupboard every morning, trying to figure out something nice and creative to wear out of the mostly summerish clothes i brought over. hmmm, layer it you say. Trust me, its easier said than done. And i have so many unwashed "winter" clothes in the boxes its just.. Arghss.. And they need to be HANDWASHED. Student life.....
So school is starting tmr. Not excited I'm not sure why. Maybe because its just introductory lectures. Nothing great i guess. I can imagine the huge crowds. eeerrrrrgghsss. Dont' like. Too much attention everywhere. And what should i wear since there's going to be so much human contact. stress.. And guess what, the weather forecast predicts rainy tmr (and there's no umbrella at home). And it did rain today, cold and gloomy. Bummer.

I HATE myself sometimes. I REALLY REALLY do!
I hate it when i don't know how to practice self-control.
I hate it when i have no self-determintation.
I hate it when I have to be a scumbag.
And I really really HATE flying cockroaches!

Hmm.. I have pretty mixed feelings about going "back" to melb this wed..
i mean, it has afterall been a while since i've back. A long while actually. its been 7mths ++.
Doesn't even feel like ive ever studied in melbourne before.
It does feel a little weird and awkward to have such a break in my studies.
Not many people i know do that. Or more like i'm the only who has done that in my circle of friends..
But looking back, it wasnt bad or anything.
i did many stuff, met many new people, made more friends, spent more time with old friends, rekindled friendships with not so close friends, widen my social circle, had more family time, did more spore shopping, learnt new things, gain more experience in various aspects...
Hey, so that aint that bad after all was it.
Yea, it wasn't.
So now the thing is, what should i expect this time i go back?
Uni, making new friends, find a partner, lots of essays (erks), work part time, higher living expenses, doing your own household chores, taking care of yourself, making decisions for yourself, missing the comfort of home, managing pms, doing things independently, good time management etc.
Am i ready? Even if i'm not, it's now time to grow up i guess.

Materialistic wants are just frikking annoying man!
Arghs.
If only we lived in a world where we dont envy and are easily satisfied with what we have.
Well, i think there are many who are like that. but... i can't seem to be one of them.
Gross.

how the sunnies? Do i look like richie? Guess not, neck to fat.. heh.

Supper is simply authentic singaporean culture. When i got back from the night safari at 1215, suffering symptoms from a long day at work and watching the depressing portugal france match till 5am in the morning, m siblings and i drove to the all famous Chomp chomp food centre for some solid food. We were actually thinking jalan kayu roti prata, but settled on chomp instead.haha
Only 1 word to describe the food, SOLID!
And the fact that i ate when i wasn't hungry at all and had sore throat at the same time was a perfect sign of my 24 hours piggyness. Oink.

the siblings of the tan family.

Satisfied people.

All gone! good job US!

savouring the food..
