Watching the WC is pretty depressing. Watching my 3 favourite teams getting kick out of the tournament definitely affects your mood. Actually ok, im bias. I like those 3 teams basically cos they've the finest looking men. haha.
But still, Korea's formation's pretty good. But i guess it just wasnt good enough. Japan, well, all along i knew they weren't that terrific. So, yea. And those "socceroos" thrashed then in the last 8 minutes. What a jaw drop! Just when i thought australia had no chance and japan and brazil was in for sure. Aiks.
And yesterday, another jaw dropper. Spain lost to france 3-1. WHYYYYYYYY! i watched the first half on the match with spain leading with 1 goal, and then happily went back to sleep. Who would have thought france scored 3 goals in the second half. 40,72 and 80 if i didnt remember wrongly. Boohoo. No more Torres and all his other handsome team mates to watch in action anymore. So sad!
Whats the point in watching football w/o gdlooking men! heh. And i thought Spain was pretty good u know. Arghs! Those bald french men!
Ok, but one team has not failed me. Brazil. Ok this, i have to admit, their football tactics are simply invincible. Each one of them are just great. Looking at them tackling their opponents and then dribbling pass their oponents and the goalkeeper and then kicking the ball into the goal.. WOOAAHHHH! Everyone should watch Brazil play. Only then will u truly admit and agree with me that Brazil is gona WIN WIN WIN! Go Brazil! You'll WIN!

This is an entry specially dedicated to my poor earrings which are probably already crushed, going to be melt down as metal and remade into some other metal object. :( :( :(

Dear Earrings, i remember the first time i saw you at the earring shop at siam square, i admit, you didnt really catch my eye. There were so many other more detailed pairs and under the spotlight, they looked really really nice. But then suddenly, u caught my eye. I placed you against my ears too see how you looked on me. You did not fail me. You even have 2 other siblings, brown and red. But somehow, your black attracted me most. i asked for your price. The shopkeeper told me an amount that i felt wasnt that reasonable for bangkok bought earrings, so i moved on.

Later on, somehow, we came back again. There you were, starring at me. I just knew i had to buy you. You looked good on me, and i looked good on you. We complimented each other, we were a perfect couple! So i started using my bargaining tactics and see how it went. It went down to SG$7. Still considered expensive for bkk earrings, but i knew i had to get you.

While you were in my bag, all the different ideas of how to wear you came popping into my mind. Somehow you looked sleek, you looked elegant, although you were relatively plain. Your gold and black body was in perfect shape.

Then one day, you hurt my ears while wearing headphones, so i took you off and placed you in tissue paper and put you on my desk, next to my computer. But $@T%# my forgetfulness, i didnt take you home with me. i left you alone in that office. Oh that dark, empty, lonely office, oohhhh, you must have been scared tiff. Believe me, i thought of you when i reached home and prayed no one touched you.

The next morning, the cleaning auntie saw you wrapped in tissue paper. She must have thought you were rubbish. But hey man! Couldn't she hear you "clink-ing" away. Your metal hitting against each other, trying to make your pressence known. But you failed. You were thrown away. Oh, thinking about the helpless you aches my heart. Bad. And i couldn't do anything to stop her.

I really can't continue writing the end of you. I'll cry. Believe me, i've searched high and low for you, you were just NOT there! i mourn for you earrings. I really do. I hope you'll come in another form to me soon. No "one" can replace you in my heart, but a friend of yours would be fine. It'll be hard to get over you, but i'll try, i promise.

You will be greatly missed.

I havent been blogging much on what ive been doing have I? Like what are my happenings so on so forth. Ok, now i shall for this weekend.

Fri-
After work, met up with Ali and joyce. Walked over to bugis street to join them. We were suppose to head to tanjong pagar FC (It stands for food centre, not football club thank you) for some Annie peanut ice kachang. And when we reached there.. dang dang dang dang. Yes u got it right! It was closed. In fact, almost ALL the shops were closed. PITS. So no food, no ice kachang. Guess how sore ali was. She has been crying annie's for the longest time.

So 3 of us walked on to maxwell FC. Woah was it a walk. Well, not really. But my soles and my lil toes were sore fr the pointy shoes i was wearing, and that made the walk extra long. While walking along tanjong pagar, it was indeed a eye opener. First we were introduced to nice bridal shops. There were nice bridal gowns and happy couples in some of the shops. Fine. Then as you walk on, there came a number of pretty sleezy looking bars/pubs/clubs with dodgy people hanging inside and outside. errrrrrr.. right. Then when u walk on further, u see all these korean restaurants. Some of their inner decor are actually quite nice man. Classy looking and all. If u wana have korean food, u know where to go. Then finally, we reached out destination.

Later at night, Ali and i were planning to go indochine to listen to their band. But then we found out they were airing football instead. And, they checked ID. haha. Maybe not. Walking up and down orchard road like twice, we settled for swensens at crown prince. haha. We both had ice cream and our bill only amounted to $8.50? And we sat there for 2 hrs. Great.hahah.

Sat-
Went out for lunch with mother, 2 grandmas and yihan. Lingzhi restaurant at Liat towers. Then met jaime after that. Got dad his exercise pants for father's day. Then we walked ard, ladida, bought food at miscellaneous places, ate, had coffee at coffeebean for an hour and so etc. Then headed on to bugis street. In the end, i bought a dress for $36. I thought that was not bad of a buy. Wat a way to end the day off.

Sun-
The usuals, headed off for choir pract at 930am. church. then lunch at marche. woohooo. The food was great. And now the budget needn't be that budget cos it's lunch with the family. Major chiong for the pasta and the grilled food. yums. and the yummy dessert. Typing abt it makes my mouth water already. Then at night we headed to this restaurant at haw par villa park. Its quite cool man. It has an exhibition hall INSIDE the restaurant. Cool. And yes, im pretty happy of the results yesterday. draw, win draw. My asian hommies still got chance to move onto the nx rd. hahah. sadly, maybe not japan, but almost definite for korean. GREAT! You make asians proud Korea! haha. shall post up some pics ltr on.

Fifa World Cup 2006 is quite interesting. This is probably the only time i enjoy watching football. Of course the men make it EXTRA interesting and saucy. HAHAHA!
May the best team win. I forgive you if your (the winning team) members are not as goodlooking. hee. i'm a fair person. (Whatever, like they care!)

My life is so repetitive. Whatever i do, it always turns out repetitive. Aiyayayayaya. Have i not been engaging myself in enough activities? I thought i have. Am im being PMS-y? No, its not time for pms yet. Then why am i feeling this way?! DARN.

First there was the whole nothing to do at home repetitiveness. The wake up, eat breakfast, watch tv,have lunch, watch more tv,surf the internet or watch serials, watch tv, have dinner and then watch MORE tv and then zzZZzz. And i lived my life away doing that in a total or at least 2 months. Believe it or not. The only spice was probably instead of tv, i change the "ingredient" to VCDs.

Then, there was the gelatissimo days. The wake up, do something similar as the above, and then prepare to go for work (usually the night shift).

Now, i wake up every morning at 9.15am. Prepare to go for work. Reach the office at 10.40pm and work through 7pm. Then? Go home. I know, i know, i can find people to go out with me after work. But work is exahusting enough already. Not necessarily the workload, but the atmosphere, the long hours etc. Many things can make you exhausted. And by then, u just wana go home and relax u know wat i mean? Rather then finding your way somewhere else (by bus), and then later having to make your own way home(wait for the bloody bus and squeeze with the crowd) when you're double exahusted. MAN!

Now i feel my social life is so... so..... (fill in the blanks if you want). Helping words: Dead, unentertaining, barely there. And my life is soo.. repetitive? And my colleagues, they arent the kind you would go out for lunch tog with kinda person. So i end up having to eat lunch.......... by myself. Which is so ............... :"( . And i'd rather not ask them out, cos it'll just be awfully weird. So you see, even break times are so sad. Only one word to say, SAD.

Life oh life. i think this calls for prayer.

OK i decided to grow up. i made a new "mature", "professional" email account. its milenetan@hotmail.com as utterly boring as it sounds.

It is afterall quite embarrassing to read out my email to others when they ask for it. DUNG!

And that happened today when i had to tell a colleague my email address. And guess what she said, "What? crappy ego?!" And then another colleague a.k.a my boss said, "Why that?" And then i just made up a cocky excuse that i was young then and at that time i thought that name was "cool". SHeesh. And then later she said, " You know u dont write that in your resume right?" (and i did for this job!)
"Ya ya, i know," i said. =_="

But im still gona stay true to myself. im gona stick to crappy ego. haha. it's too much of a hassle to undergo the whole change of an email address. But the newly made one is just for "in case".

YAYZER. i got a call on friday after my interview on thursday with VHQ. i got the job. He said i'll help out with the post production dept. like editting, transcript, etc. BTW, transcript is actually something like taking down the whole dialogue of a show/film/TVC etc. i was sua ku enough to ask him at the interview "oh.. isit something like subtitles?" (with a "oh i know!" tone). Then he replied, well, not exactly. (black crow flies across). Then he explained what i just told u to me. haha. He said its for reference and myb also for subtitles nx time. hah. oh wells.

Post prod is a completly new thing to me. Never even touched in the media and comm lessons. haha. Like when working in my cousin's branding company for that miserable 2 days( thurs and fri), i actually managed to used some of my MNC lesson knowledge for better understanding of some procedures. Which was cool. I'd love to continue at his company, but i guess VHQ's a better opportunity? For future networking, resume etc. It'll be a good experience (hopefully a pleasant one too) My cousin also said it was a gd opp and will let me go.

So yea. I feel BAD, leaving his office with some unfinished work to do. But he kept saying nvm nvm after my many apologies. And he was the one who offered me his office to "kill time" (until i get the VHQ job, it was uncertain at that time u see). SIGH! i guess thats the only thing he can say anyway. But i'm sure i'll go back to his company nx time. myb end of the year? Afterall, it really is good experience, and he's willing to spend time teaching me a lot of things in his branding company(the process, the work, bringing me to meetings etc), which is really great, and which im really thankful for. Sometimes it IS good to have relatives. (:

Sorry yall... Ignoring you guys wasnt my intention, really. Just that my internet connection has been DOWN DOWN DOWN! for like 2 weeks. its was only reapaired yesterday. YUP, major uploaded pictures for your pleasure. heh. And many of me too.. (bu yao lian), just in case u miss. me. :)

Updates on myself? Well, im interning temporarily at my cousin's advertising office at mohamad sultan! haha. funky ok. Go boogie woogie every night after work! haha. just KIDDING! We're right above Phunk bar. When they test their sound system, the whole office shakes (imagine jurassic park). hahah.

I'm actually waiting for a reply from this company called VHQ Post. Yeap, go look them up. They're pretty big. However they do a lot of post production (80%) and rather bring in people with experience in editting, multimedia etc.. Oh wells, we'll see how it goes, went for an interview today, it was ok, quite a pleasant one, but its alright if i dont get the job i guess, staying at cousin's company aint that bad. I'll get to learn quite a bit there. Just that VHQ Post will look really good on my resume. There's always next time. We'll see we'll see. My doors are open.

K then. I shall take a rest now. Gotta wake up early for work tmr. Enough of wasting my time at home.
